I have a genuine interest in people.
Especially as a manager in an IT division with an insurance company, I like to make people grow in their job or grow themselves. Feedback plays an important role in such a situation. In practice, encouraging employees from my team to exceed themselves has been very rewarding. It is great to see them develop, take the opportunities offered and move on.
My task as mentor to Junior Project Managers has also been very fascinating too. It is a great way of giving young and enthusiastic employees guidance and direction for their successful future on the job.
As a manager, clear communication is perhaps the most important skill I rely on.
As an employee I have always made a point to strive for further excellence. To be able to enhance my skills I have always been keen on further training. Just during the last years I have for instance studied Master Of Coaching.
